Much like the Papua New Guinea coffee of the Kigabah Estate, the Amuliba Estate was formed by an Australian. A man by the name of Norm Plant, introduced the crop in the 1950’s, before it was acquired by Philip Kapal in the late 70’s. Kapal (who goes by the pseudonym Nani) is the leader of the Tsekaka clan, and owns Amuliba through the Karkopi Development.
